Step 5: Install ADWLauncherĪt this point, Play Store is successfully installed on your Kindle Fire tablet, but the original Amazon Launcher doesn’t recognize it. Go back to where you put the Google Play Store (most likely in the folder from Step 1). Then tap the Vending.apk in order to install it on your Kindle Fire. Now you have permission to write data to the device’s system. Open ES File Explorer, choose “Fast Access” > “Tools” > “Root Explorer” > “Mount R/W”, and then set “Path /” and “/system” to “RW”. Don’t worry about installing Vending, Google Play Store or ADW at this step. Even after you install them, they won’t show up in the “Apps” list – this is normal.
